Ebenso waren die Muslimischen Gelehrten [wie bspw. al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah & al-Maqrizi] gegen die (willkürliche) Entwertung und Manipulierung der Währung, um die Regierungsausgaben zu bewerkstelligen, und dies, weil es die gleichen Ursachen und Wirkungen gehabt hätte wie heutige (staatliche) Schuldenpolitik.
Während der Mamlukendynastie (787 – 922 n.H.) fand (Währungsmanipulation) jedoch (erstmals) Verbreitung und führte unweigerlich zu einer Inflation. Al-Maqrizi schrieb alle ökonomischen Krisen seiner Zeit dieser Form der Geld- bzw- Schuldenpolitik zu.»
