Das Gerede von der Menschlichkeit beraubt die Welt nicht jener fundamentalen Prinzipien, auf denen insbesondere die Geopolitik fußt. Größere Mächte ringen um Hegemonie und hinter den dabei vorgehaltenen Idealen schimmert allzu deutlich das nüchtern kalkulierte und rücksichtlos verfolgte Interesse hervor. Den kleineren Mächten bleibt, wenn ihnen nicht die Gnade zuteilwird, in der weltpolitischen Peripherie zu liegen, nur übrig, sich dem Interesse einer größeren Macht unterzuordnen, um so einen zumindest theoretischen Schutz zu erlangen. Besonders schmerzhaft ist die Lage derer, die an den Schnittstellen des Einflussbereichs konkurrierender Großmächte liegen und darum als Schauplatz ihres Ringens herhalten müssen.

Dies gilt auch für weite Teile der muslimischen Welt, die nun seit einem guten Jahrhundert dem »Humanismus« der Großmächte ausgeliefert sind. Dem Humanismus der Hungerblockade und des Flächenbombardements, dem Humanismus des süffisanten »They brought it upon themselves«. Dass die dortigen »Interventionen« fremder Mächte in irgendeiner Weise zur Durchsetzung demokratisch-humanistischer Ideen gedacht sein sollen, kann nur noch glauben, wer entweder von seiner geistigen Verfassung her von der Möglichkeit des Denkens und Erkennens abgeschnitten ist, oder von alldem auf irgendeine Weise und sei es auch nur als journalistischer Stichwortgeber profitiert.

Man sieht recht deutlich, wie ganze Völker sich im toten Winkel des sich stets besorgt gebenden humanistischen Geschwurbels stehen und darum von den hierbei tonangebenden Mächten nichts an Anteilnahme erwarten können. Denkt an die Uiguren, die zu weiß Gott wie vielen in den chinesischen Lagern schmachten. Denkt an die zwischen gleichgültig bis feindlich gestimmten Regierungen hin- und hergetriebenen Rohingya.  Sie sind die Vergessenen der vielbesungenen Humanität, gleich allen Völkern, die keinen vorderen Platz am schwachen Gehör des Weltgewissens zu reklamieren vermögen, und denen das hysterische »Nie wieder!«, an dessen Charakter als Herrschaftsinstrument aufgrund der offenkundig selektiven Solidarität seiner Fahnenträger kein legitimer Zweifel bestehen kann, daher nicht zugutekommt.
