Dann verleumdet ihr die besten Imame und bezichtigt die Anhänger der Familie Muhammads – Allah segne und beschütze ihn – des Unglaubens und des Irrtums. Dann ruft ihr die Muslime zur Religion auf mit offensichtlichen Neuerungen und Irrlehren, die im Koran nicht bezeugt sind, und lehnt den Besuch der Imamgräber ab und beschimpft diejenigen, welche sie besuchen, und bezichtigt sie der Neuerung; doch gleichzeitig versammelt ihr euch und besucht das Grab eines Mannes aus dem einfachen Volk, eines Mannes ohne Ansehen, Abstammung oder Verschwägerung mit dem Gesandten Allahs – Allah segne und beschütze ihn – und befielt auch den Leuten es zu besuchen, und nehmt für ihn die Wunder der Propheten und er Heiligen in Anspruch.
Allah verfluche den Teufel, der euch solcherlei Abscheulichkeiten vorgaukelte, ebenso wie das, was ihn in die Irre führte. Und nun leistet der Fürst der Gläubigen einen heiligen Eid, dessen Erfüllung zwingend ist, dass er über euch, solltest ihr euch nicht von euren verderblichen Lehren und krummen Wegen abwenden, Schläge und Verbannung, Tod und Beseitigung bringen und gegen eure Hälse das Schwert und gegen eure Wohnungen das Feuer gebracht wird.“»
