Im vorherigen Interview-Auszug mit Prof. Dr. Jesús Huerta de Soto wird die Notwendigkeit des Depositum irregulare betont, wenn es um Bankeinlagen geht. Wieso das vonnöten ist, erklärt im folgenden Auszug mein Lieblingsökonom Roland Baader in seinem Buch „Geld, Gold und Gottspieler – Am Vorabend der nächsten Weltwirtschaftskrise“.

„Angenommen, ich bringe heute 10.000 Euro Bargeld zur Bank und zahle es auf mein Konto ein. Ich sage bei der Einzahlung nicht: “ Sie können meine 10.000 Euro drei Jahre lang an irgend jemanden gegen Zinszahlung als Darlehen ausleihen“, sondern ich zahle nur ein. Basta. Selbstverständlich gehe ich davon aus, daß ich das Geld morgen wieder abheben kann, wenn ich es bar benötigen sollte.

In normalen Zeiten steht dem nichts entgegen. Aber mit meinen 10.000 Euro geschieht merkwürdiges. Bei einem geltenden Mindestreservesatz von bspw. 10% ist die nämlich berechtigt, 90% meiner Einlage an Dritte auszuleihen, ohne mich um Erlaubnis zu fragen. Das ist aber noch lange nicht das Ende seiner seltsamen Geld-(Kredit-)Vermehrung. Im schlimmsten Fall kann meine Bareinlage von 10.000 Euro zum Aufbau eines Kreditvolumens (im gesamten Bankensystem) von 90.000 Euro – also vom Neunfachen des ursprünglich eingezahlten Betrages führen.

Das kann wie folgt geschehen; Nehmen wir an, ein Bauherr leiht sich 9.000 Euro (also die laut Mindestreservebestimmung erlaubten 90% meiner Einlage bei Bank A) und zahlt damit seine Rechnungen bei drei Handwerkern. Diese Handwerker unterhalten Bankkonten bei den Banken B, C und D (jeder Handwerker bei einer anderen Bank). Die dort eingehenden Überweisungen sind sogenannte Sichtguthaben und werden wie Bareinlagen behandelt. Das heißt: Es dürfen davon wiederum je 90% ausgeliehen werden. Die Banken B, C und D können also aus den insgesamt 9,000 Euro neue Kredite in Höhe von 8,100 Euro ausleiehen.

Wenn sich die besagten Handwerker diese Kredite selber geben lassen und damit ihre Material-Lieferanten bezahlen, und wenn diese Lieferanten Konten bei wiederum anderen Banken – nämlich Bank E, F und G – unterhalten, dann setzt sich das Spiel fort: Insgesamt gehen 8,110 Euro ein; davon dürfen 90% = 7,290 Euro ausgeliehen werden. Und so weiter. Im schlimmsten Fall, das heißt, wenn jeder der Beteiligten in der Zahlungskette sein Konto bei einer anderen Bank unterhält (und nicht zufällig zwei oder mehr der Beteiligten bei derselben Bank), können aus meiner Einlage in Höhe von 10.000 Euro bei einem Mindestreservesatz von 10% rund 90.000 Euro an Kreditgeld erzeugt werden. Aber auch, wenn zufällig einige der Zahlungsempfänger und Darlehensnehmer ihre Transaktion bei derselben Bank vornehmen, ergibt meine ursprüngliche Bankeinzahlung noch ein Mehrfaches an Liquidität (Kreditgeld), das in den Geldkreislauf einströmt.“

  1. Das ist praxisfernes Mathematikanwenden. Die Banken schöpfen Geld, ohne die Reserven vorher bereitgestellt zu haben. Die bekommen sie jederzeit spätestens von der EZB.
    Der Punkt ist, daß die „Einlage“, die auf das Konto gemacht wird in den Besitz der Bank übergeht. Als Ersatz bekommt der Einleger im Konto einen Anspruch notiert, der auf Auszahlung derselben Summe lautet. Diesen Anspruch kann er auf andere Übertragen /Überweisen und so Zahlungen leisten wie mit Bargeld.
    Der Kontoauszug bescheinigt nicht das Vorhandensein einer Menge Geldes „auf“ dem Konto, sondern hält die Höhe der Forderung an die Bank fest. Aus Sicht der Bank heißt das Verbindlichkeit und steht auch so in der Bilanz. Das „Geld“ des Einlegers steht auf der Aktivseite der Bilanz unter Kasse, Fordeungen an Zentralbank oder andere Banken.
