Es ist mir etwas aufgefallen, in den letzten knapp 8 Jahren als sogenannter Salafist. Alle reden über uns. Journalisten, Politiker, Islamwissenschaftler, PImaten, aber auch Funktionäre von Muslim- und Islamverbänden, Religionsbehörden oder Moscheevereinen. Speziell diese „Muslime“, die auf Anfrage der Presse oder Anraten örtlicher Politiker bzw. Behörden über den bösen Salafismus schwafeln, dass er nichts mit dem wahren Islam zu tun habe und seine Anhänger unwissend seien, diese „Muslime“, die sich für alles mögliche einsetzen, für die freiheitlich-demokratische Grundordnung, für das Grundgesetz, für den Wohlfahrtsstaat, für den interreligiösen Dialog, aber nicht für den Islam und die Muslime, alle Muslime.
Sie bilden Räte, organisieren Konferenzen, kooperieren mit staatlichen Einrichtungen, geben Expertisen, nur um Politik und Staat zufrieden zu stellen, um in Ruhe gelassen zu werden, aus Angst vor Repression, um den Aufenthaltsstatus zu behalten oder einfach nur um gelobt zu werden, von Ministern, Bürgermeistern und Behördenvorstehern. Doch was passiert, wenn diese Funktionäre in ihrer Moschee einem solchen Salafisten begegnen? Lassen sie ihren Worten Taten folgen? Nehmen sie sich den Bruder zur Seite? Geben sie Nasiha (einen Ratschlag)? Versuchen sie dieses angeblich falsche Islamverständnis zu korrigieren?
NEIN !!!
In all den 8 Jahren als irrgeleiteter, gefährlicher, bösartiger und unislamischer Salafist, ist noch kein Hodscha, kein Imam, kein Moscheevorstand, kein Muslimfunktionär und auch kein Sufi-Sheikh an mich herangetreten und hat versucht mich aus meinem angeblichen Irrtum zu erretten. Besonders hier in Hamburg, wo man mich vielerorts bestens kennt, als engagiertes Gemeindemitglied der ehemaligen Taiba-Moschee (bzw Al-Quds-Moschee), die nach vertraulichen Beratungen zwischen eben diesen Funktionären und der Staatsmacht einvernehmlich geschlossen und verboten wurde.
Ich komme in ihre Moscheen – und ich gehe in fast jede Moschee in Hamburg -, sie sehen mich, erkennen mich und grüßen mich (oder auch nicht), aber darüber hinaus kommt kein Sterbenswörtchen.
Warum ist das so? Ich weiß es nicht. Aber eines weiß ich: Der Sufi-Sheikh aus Trebbus sah ebenfalls keinerlei Veranlassung mich eines Besseren zu belehren. Der Bruder Jamal, den ich eigentlich in Trebbus besucht hatte, kündigte meinen Besuch im Mevlevi-Orden bereits einen Tag zuvor an, aber er verschwieg, dass ich ein sogenannter Salafist war. Das sollte ich dem Sheikh – wenn möglich – doch bitte selber irgendwie beibringen. Und so brachte mich Jamal in die Tekke, die nur etwa 1-2 km von seinem Hof entfernt lag, stellte mich dem Sheikh vor, trank noch einen Tee mit uns und fuhr dann allein wieder nach Hause.
Nun lag es also an mir, einen geeigneten Weg zu finden um dem Sheikh die Ankunft des Bösen, des Krebsgeschwürs, in seinem Hause zu offenbaren. Natürlich hatte ich mir zuvor einige Gedanken darüber gemacht wie ich auftreten möchte. Ich entschloss mich für meine natürliche und somit freundliche und respektvolle Art, wie ich jedem Muslim begegne, besonders wenn er das gesegnete Alter von 70 Jahren erreicht hat – wie Scheich Abdullah Halis al Mevlevi–Efendi -, das gehört sich einfach.
Ich war allerdings nicht der einzige Gast im Hause. Bei meiner Ankunft saß bereits ein anderer Mann beim Sheikh zu Tisch. Es war ein us-amerikanischer Musikwissenschaftler, der in Deutschland für ein Buch recherchierte. Sein Forschungsgebiet war orientalische Musik, speziell schiitische und sufische Stile. Sein Buch sollte vom Islam in Berlin handeln und hierzu gehörte auch ein Aufenthalt im Mevlevi-Orden zu Trebbus, das ja nur 125km südlich von Berlin liegt. Er hatte eine professionelle Videokamera dabei und sein Notizheftchen immer parat, denn der Sheikh hatte viel zu erzählen.
Ich habe hin und her überlegt, ob und inwieweit ich meine negativen Eindrücke vom Sheikh hier schildern soll. Ich kam während meines Aufenthaltes dort nicht wirklich oft zu Wort und konnte somit auch nicht darüber aufklären dass ich einen Blog betreibe und vorhabe dort über meinen Besuch zu berichten. Ich werde also an mich halten und meinen persönlichen Eindruck von der Person des Sheikhs nicht sonderlich ausführen, nur so viel sei gesagt: Nicht alles, was ich mir in positiver Erwartung von einem Meister des Tasawwuf erhofft habe, hat sich beim Treffen mit dem Sheikh erfüllt.
Aber es gab auch sehr viel Gutes was ich sah und hörte. Die Gegenwart des Wissenschaftlers war für den Sheikh ein Anlass viele Anekdoten aus seinem langen Leben zu berichten, osmanische Überlieferungen zu erzählen, Weisheiten aufzuzählen und zahlreiche Koranstellen zu rezitieren. Der Sheikh konnte fließend türkisch und – soweit ich das beurteilen konnte – auch sehr gut arabisch sprechen. Viele seiner Weisheiten und allgemeinen Ratschläge belegte er mit koranischen Beweisen, aus dem Kopf, erst auf arabisch, dann in gepflegter deutscher Übersetzung.
Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig war für mich seine Angewohnheit, von sich selbst immer als „Wir“ zu sprechen und andere Personen mit „Ihr“ anzureden. Diese Angewohnheit teilte er auch mit den zwei Sufi-Schwestern, die in der Küche fleißig am Kochen waren und nur selten mal in den großen Speiseraum kamen. Und so fragte er mich nach einiger Zeit: „Und wie seid Ihr zum Islam gekommen?“
Nun sah ich meine Möglichkeit gekommen. Schnell erklärte ich, dass ich schon sehr jung mit dem Islam in Verbindung kam, jedoch die Praxis der Religion, für mich als Jugendlicher, zu streng wirkte, und da auch meine zahlreichen türkischen Freunde den Islam nicht ganz so streng nahmen und meinten, dass der Islam im Herzen ausreiche, da – so sagte ich – fand ich zwar den Islam ganz toll, bevorzugte jedoch eine normale deutsche Jugend, mit den üblichen kleinen und großen Sünden. Den Islam ernsthaft als Lebenskorrektiv in Erwägung – führte ich weiter aus – zog ich erst kurz nach meinem 30. Geburtstag, und dann im wahren Vollzug auch erst nach einem ausführlichem Telefongespräch mit Pierre Vogel.
Baaam! Da war es also raus. Ich versuchte ganz locker zu bleiben und tat so als würde ich den schrägen und leicht verdutzten Blick des Sheikhs nicht bemerken. Es gab einen kurzen Moment der Stille, worauf der Sheikh dann nach einiger Zeit den Amerikaner auf einmal bat, mich doch bitte mal über das Gelände zu führen, um mir die Stallungen, den Innenhof, den Hofladen, die Musalla und den Sohbet-Raum zu zeigen. Der Amerikaner wirkte ein wenig irritiert, immerhin war er selbst ein Gast im Haus, und als solcher wurde er jetzt auf einmal aufgefordert einem anderen Gast das Gehöft zu zeigen.
Der Musikwissenschaftler kam der Aufforderung trotzdem ohne Murren nach. Wir gingen also nach draußen und er zeigte mir alles, was er von seiner eigenen Besichtigung, wahrscheinlich nur wenige Stunden zuvor, selbst noch wusste. Als letzte Station des Rundgangs kamen wir etwa 20 Minuten später im Sohbet-Raum an, wo auch Jamal wieder da war und mit dem Sheikh zusammen im Gespräch versunken saß.
