Im übrigen Europa wurde er erst im fünfzehnten Jahrhundert bekannt, dann aber wurde sein Einfluß überaus groß. Der große Physiologe Haller bemerkt, die Werke Albukassis‘ seien die Quelle gewesen, „aus der alle Chirurgen nach dem vierzehnten Jahrhundert schöpften“.»
