Eine westliche Erziehung kommt nicht umhin der muslimischen Jugend, ihren Glauben an die Nachricht des Propheten und ihren Willen zu untergraben, sich als Repräsentanten der eigenen theokratischen Zivilisation des Islam zu betrachten. Es kann dabei keinen Zweifel geben, dass unter einer solchen westlichen „Intelligenzija“ jeder religiöse Glaube seinen Halt verliert. Dies impliziert natürlich nicht, dass der Islam unter den ungebildeten Klassen seine Integrität als praktische Religion wahrt; aber dennoch finden wir dort generell eine viel empfindsamere Antwort auf den Ruf des Islam als bei der verwestlichten „Intelligenzija“. Die Erklärung dieser Entfremdung ist nicht die, dass die westlichen Wissenschaften, mit denen sie gefüttert wurden, ein begründetes Argument gegen die Wahrheit unserer religiösen Lehren geliefert hätten; vielmehr ist die intellektuelle Atmosphäre der modernen westlichen Zivilisation so extrem antireligiös , dass sie bereits dem religiösen Potenzial der jungen muslimischen Generation viel Kraft entzieht.
